Several rifles had been rebuilt, Particularly Vietnam era rifles.  Typically the barrels have been changed.  Some samples of markings found on replacment barrels include things like:     The "C" on the barrel would suggest a chrome chamber only barrel. But AFAIK, Colt marked the "C" up near the muzzle on their early barrels, not under the ha
